In The City With Brooklyn Tech’s Cross Country Team
A portrait of a high school team training in the cosmopolitan city of New York City
MileSplit set out to capture images of a high school cross country team based in a major metropolitan area.
Eventually, we zeroed in on Brooklyn Tech, one of New York City’s top high schools with specializations in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Located in the heart of Brooklyn, the high School has an enrollment of nearly 6,000 students. Student-athletes who compete in cross country train on the roads adjacent to the school, take the subway to practice, or jog to one of three parks near the school.

During the week, Brooklyn Tech traveled to Prospect Park to complete a workout.
